Once you have received special endings for your characters, you can still play where you left off after watching the closing scenes, which is something many games don’t offer as they force you to start over if you skip to the end.ĭoki Doki Mode, the one-on-one interaction with female characters, moves away from the mission-centric occurrences seen in Double Peace. The game will offer items to decorate your room. Getting enough points will help your angel friend look good at her job, and her celestial company will send a care package to your home when the day ends, mostly containing snacks for you to give to girls. The goal in the game is not only to remove demons from the school but to also earn points.

That said, you only have a certain amount of in-game weeks to play, and afterward, the game ends and you’ll have to start again. Even so, you’ll still have time to at least do one mission before the day ends. You can also call your lady friends at any time, and you can contact as many of them as you want, though it’ll take some time away from your day. Players are given a certain amount of missions to play per day - sometimes two or three depending on the type.

It’s similar to a dating simulator game, albeit a shortened version of one.

You can then give them a call each day to meet, give them snacks, and slowly increase their love for you. While you are not required to finish these optional tasks, doing so will win you phone numbers from the ladies you help.

This is due to the fact that additional missions appear on your to-do list as you complete each main event. However, if you truly want to see all character endings the game offers, you’ll need to begin again. Typically, games with multiple endings will only have the latter option, so it’s great to see that you can still get some of the other endings without starting over. When you successfully unlock a character ending, the game will let you continue playing or start a new game with your save data. Your answers can also steer you into falling in love with other characters besides Chiru or Nanako, allowing for multiple endings that’ll give fans a reason to replay the game over and over again. Many of these scenes will give players options with which to answer, and which one you choose will determine the characters’ love for you. In between the shooting and sucking, you’ll have conversations with Chiru, the girl who lives next door to you, or Nanako, your childhood friend. Plus, it allows you to search for hidden items such health replenishments and mini demon statues, so it’s a welcome change. However, after playing a few stages, being able to choose when to move on gives you a chance to take a breather from the action. Instead of the game moving you through the stage automatically once all the ladies in the area are taken care of, Gal*Gun 2 gives the player the option to choose when to continue.Īt first, this didn’t feel as arcade-like as the previous game because you weren’t being carried along at that faster pace. Players who have played Double Peace will notice the pace of Gal*Gun 2 is a little different. As a result, it’s best to use the Demon Sweeper only on demon-possessed waifus (attractive girls).

There is a limit on how long it will work and will recharge slowly when it reaches its limit, but it can be upgraded with more power. With the Demon Sweeper, you can suck up the demons terrorizing the ladies, but if you use the vacuum too long, it’ll literally take the clothes off people instead. When putting on the Pheromone Goggles, you’ll be able to see Risu, an angel who needs help removing the demons that plague the students and teachers in the school. Don’t worry about hurting anyone, though the bullets only give pleasure on impact. The Pheromone Gun shoots bullets that are invisible to humans and only affects demons and possessed girls. You’re given a set of gadgets for use: a Pheromone Gun, Pheromone Goggles, and a vacuum weapon called the Demon Sweeper. Similar to the previous main installment, Gal*Gun: Double Peace, Gal*Gun 2 puts the main character in a scenario where you must help an angel remove demons from your school.

Gal*Gun 2 is an entertaining arcade-style game for fans of the series or those who really enjoy attractive female characters in a fictional world. Gal*Gun 2, despite the numbering, is the series’ fourth installment, and in addition to appearing on the PlayStation 4 and PC, the franchise makes its way to a Nintendo console for the first time. It’s endlessly amusing, but it’s also a game you’ll want to be wary of playing in public since it focuses heavily on the female body. You either shoot to give female characters enough pleasure so they stop pestering you or you shoot to remove the demons attached to them. Many arcade-style games are shoot to kill, but the Gal*Gun series is the total opposite.
